A male has been flown to hospital in a critical but stable condition with a head injury after reportedly falling from a moving car in a bizarre incident in Geelong’s north on Sunday.

A male has been flown to hospital in a critical but stable condition with a head injury after reportedly falling from a car on Sunday morning.

Police are investigating after the man was located with serious injuries.

He was believed to have fallen out of a moving vehicle on Victoria Street in North Geelong.

The driver of the vehicle, a blue Holden Commodore, continued on and remained outstanding on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Victoria St, near Nepean Close, about 11.10am with multiple ambulance and police vehicles attending.

An ambulance helicopter was called to nearby West Oval, and the patient was taken there to be airlifted.

It took more than 30 minutes for the helicopter to leave the scene.

Onlookers gathered outside the oval, which is presently fenced off for renovations , to see what was happening, but were asked to leave.

“Just for privacy of the victim we ask you to move on because we’re talking about someone who might die,” an official said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed the male, believed to be in his 30s, was flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a critical but stable condition.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and ask anyone who witnessed it to come forward.

It is the second bizarre incident on Victoria St this week after a Commodore smashed through the glass shopfront of a signage and printing business.
