THE Independent Commissioner Against Corruption NT has investigations under way into 50 matters of alleged improper conduct, a handful of which are major investigations, Commissioner Ken Fleming has revealed.
In an interview on Mix 104.9 on Wednesday morning, Mr Fleming gave fresh insight into the ICAC’s current workload.
“We’ve dealt with or are dealing with something like 680 complaints of improper conduct,” he said,
“We ourselves are investigating 50 of those.
“There are four or five major investigations, which will take us at least a year each to complete. We’re running them concurrently.
“Then there are smaller investigations going on as well.

“We are constantly dealing with improper conduct, whether it’s being referred back to an agency, whether we are dealing with it as an initial inquiry, whether we’re looking for more information.”
