A SECOND Brothers for Life gang member has been shot in less than a week after last night's Sydney victim was named as Michael Odisho.
Police are now investigating links between Odisho's shooting and that of murdered Brothers for Life member Mahmoud Hamzy last week.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting at Reilleys Rd, Winston Hills, last night.
When they arrived they found the 27-year-old man had been shot multiple times in the arm and thigh.
The attack was the third Sydney shooting in less than a week.
Superintendent Robert Redfern says the investigation is still in its early stages and all possible links are being examined.
"The primary victim is known to police - we don't believe in any way that this was a random event," he told reporters.
Odisho's mother was at home at the time of the shooting and was injured by shattered glass.
The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been set up and police are searching for the gunman.
Other shootings to rock Sydney in recent days included a man shot dead in front of his girlfriend as he got into his car after visiting relatives in Sydney's west on Thursday.
The 27-year-old man was shot five times in the back as he walked to his white Subaru Impreza parked in the driveway of Dunmore St, Pendle Hill, address.
The Pendle Hill shooting followed the slaying on Tuesday of Brothers For Life gang member Mahmoud Hamzy in Revesby Heights.
Hamzy, the 25-year-old Brothers for Life gang member, was shot dead by three gunmen in a Bardo Circuit garage of a house in Revesby Heights. Another man, Omar Ajaj, 24, was also wounded.
All shootings were bikie or gang related, police say.
