Man charged with 32 offences after firearms found in Whittington
A 29-year-old man is facing dozens of charges after a bag of firearms was found in southeast Geelong.
A 29-year-old man is facing a string of charges after police discovered a bag of firearms in southeast Geelong last week.
Police executed a warrant at an address on Alouette Ct in Whittington on Thursday, which resulted in a man being taken into custody and interviewed.
“Officers were investigating after a bag containing firearms was discovered in a street in Whittington last week,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
The man has since been charged with 32 offences, including trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs of dependence, trafficking and possessing drugs of dependence, possession of a trafficable quantity of firearms, being a prohibited person to possess firearms, and failing to answer bail.
He has been remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
