A WOMAN who was severely burnt at Cranbourne on the weekend has died in hospital this morning.
Police were called to a property on Boronia Avenue about 6.30pm on Saturday.
A 22-year-old Cranbourne woman sustained severe burns and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police say she died this morning.

A 29-year-old Cranbourne man, who is known to the victim, continues to assist police with inquiries.
The exact circumstances regarding the incident are still to be determined and the matter is being investigated by the Homicide Squad with assistance from the Arson and Explosives Squad.

Witness Daniel McCreedy told Channel Seven on Sunday the woman had been “severely burnt.”
“I just smelt smoke, petrol,” he said.
“I noticed there was a jerrycan in the back (of the house) that was on fire.
“My partner took care of the lady who had been severely burnt.”
