AN ICE dealer was stabbed to death after stealing $50 from her housemate to buy more of her illicit trade, a court has heard.

Alicia Schiller is charged with the savage murder of Tyrelle Evertsen-Mostert in a Norlane drug den in November 2014.

On day one of her Supreme Court trial, the jury heard Ms Schiller was infuriated when her ice-dealing roomie nicked $50 from her bedroom.

One witness claimed she swore bloody revenge.

“I don’t care if she took it or not, I’ll gut her,” she allegedly said.

The witness told police he saw Ms Schiller with knives before she allegedly attacked her victim.

Crown prosecutor Mark Rochford QC said Ms Schiller made a plan to confront her victim and punish her for taking the $50.

Ms Evertsen-Mostert was slashed and stabbed in the arm before a blow to the chest killed her.

“She got me three good ones,” the victim told her partner before dying.

The court heard Ms Schiller fled the Norlane drug house with the victim’s phone, making several calls and sending texts before dumping the knife at a nearby house.

Ms Schiller’s barrister Scott Johns urged the jury to believe his client, telling them she did not mean to kill Ms Evertsen-Mostert.

“Ms Schiller is not a murderer. She did not murder the deceased. There was a fight. Things got out of hand,” he said.

Mr Johns asked the jury not to judge his client because she was as an ice user and a “troubled individual”.

He told the jury many of the witnesses to appear at the trial were also ice users and the environment the killing took place in was one of drugs, dealers and their guards.

“This case is heat of the moment,” he said. “We say it’s not a case of murder.”

The trial before Justice Jane Dixon continues.
