A woman has been arrested in the middle of a busy road after she tried to flee the scene of a crash involving a suspected stolen car, opposite where a young woman’s body was found in Bundoora yesterday.

A woman has been arrested in the middle of a busy road after she tried to flee the scene of a crash involving a suspected stolen car, directly opposite where a young woman’s body was found in Bundoora yesterday.
Another man was arrested on the roof of a nearby home.

The woman, driving a black Audi 4WD, collided with another car on the corner of Plenty Rd and Main Drive about 12:40pm.
One of the cars is suspected as being stolen.
A woman was dramatically taken to the ground by a police officer who was at the nearby homicide scene.
He ran across the busy road to apprehend the woman as another car was seen speeding down Plenty Rd and the tram tracks with a marked car in pursuit.
A man is also in police custody after he was caught on the roof of a nearby home.
Police say a 33-year-old man of no fixed address and a 32-year-old woman from Preston are expected to be charged with reckless conduct endangering life and theft of motor vehicle.
