A WOMAN has been charged over an alleged sexual assault on a teenage girl in Melbourne’s west last month.
The 17-year-old schoolgirl was on her way home from school at Newport train station on May 1 when she was approached from behind by a woman.

The woman allegedly assaulted the victim around 2pm before fleeing the scene.
A 32-year-old Williamstown woman presented herself to a police station this afternoon and was charged with sexual assault.
She has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on August 17.
