AN ICE queen who flooded country Victoria with drugs and used violence and standover tactics to extract debts has been jailed for at least five and half years.

Jessica “Shorty” Short, 25, was this morning jailed by County Court Judge Frank Gucciardo, who said the drug ice was destroying rural communities.

Short ran a highly profitable drug empire from her home in Wangaratta.

So brazen was her offending she boasted about going to jail and immediately continued dealing when released on bail in January last year.

She boasted of “world domination”, described underlings as her “cronies and little slave boys”.

Her home was covered in security cameras and she was caught talking about torturing clients with tasers to recover debts.

“It’s a criminal mindset which ignores the social damage,” Judge Gucciardo said.

Short, 25, purchased ice from a criminal syndicate in Melbourne and kept detailed notes on who she sold to in and around Wangaratta and who owed her money, as well as how she laundered the money.

Short initially ran the drug empire along with former friend Jessica Fogarty, who was sentenced a minimum of four and half years jail for her role.

Short and Fogarty fell out in mid 2014, each continuing on with their own drug business.

Short’s offending was brazen and without fear.

When police raided her home, they found files in a her computer titled “What to do before jail”.

Judge Gucciardo jailed short for eight years and six months.

She must serve at least five years and six months before being eligible for parole.
