Thugs as young as 14 have been arrested after a bottle shop worker was attacked in Sunshine with a machete in a frightening holdup for a slab.

A bottle shop worker who refused to serve a group of young teens wanting alcohol was threatened with a machete in a terrifying attack in Melbourne’s west last night.
Six boys, aged between 14 and 16, were arrested shortly after the worker was assaulted at 10.30pm.
A group of teens tried to buy alcohol from the store in Durham Rd, Sunshine but were asked to leave because of their age.
Police were told a slab of beer was taken by one who walked off without paying while another jumped onto the counter and pulled out a machete.
The store worker was allegedly attacked from behind and knocked to the ground.

Police said a group of boys were arrested nearby a short time later.
They were charged with a range of offences including armed robbery and recklessly cause injury and are due to face a children’s court at a later date.
