A second man has been arrested and charged over the 2007 murder of Melton South mother Cindy Crossthwaite.
Brian O’Shea, 50, from Taylors Lakes, has faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court charged with one count of murder.
Wearing a grey t-shirt and sporting a bandage on his left hand, Mr O’Shea looked around the courtroom throughout the brief administrative hearing.
He was arrested by police shortly before 9am before being charged with one count of murder.
Just over a week ago Cindy Crossthwaite’s ex-husband Emil Petrov, 55, was charged over her death.
Outside court last week, his daughter Jesmine Crossthwaite, 22, said she had waited more than a decade for justice for her mother.
“I’m just so grateful this day has finally come, it’s been a long 12 years,” Ms Crossthwaite said.
“I feel like my whole life has revolved around it; this moment, this day.”
“Finally some justice may be served for my Mum.”
