A reality TV producer allegedly threatened in an extortion attempt by gangland widow Roberta Williams has been charged with several dishonesty and drug offences.

A reality TV producer allegedly threatened in an extortion attempt by gangland widow Roberta Williams is facing his own charges in court.
As Ryan Naumenko is expected to be the key witness in the case against Ms Williams next year, police have charged him with several dishonesty and drug offences.
Charge sheets released by Melbourne Magistrates’ Court allege Mr Naumenko, 36, dishonestly obtained more than $4500 by falsely advertising a mobile phone for sale seven times between May 30 and November 19 last year.
He is also accused of similar crimes in December 2016, where he allegedly duped a person into handing over $415 for an iPhone.
Two counts of possessing cannabis, and one count each of dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime and possessing shotgun cartridges without a licence are also among his charges.
Mr Naumenko spoke publicly this year of being kidnapped, assaulted and threatened by a group of men on the orders of Ms Williams, the former wife of gangland drug boss Carl Williams, on July 9.
It has been alleged the mother of two told Mr Naumenko “I’m the f---ing godmother you f---wit” while a co-accused pulled a gun on him and demanded he transfer $17,000 in cash.
He claims he was a producer helping Ms Williams make her reality TV show.
She was arrested and charged in August, but police have since dropped three major charges, including kidnapping, intentionally causing serious injury and recklessly causing serious injury.
Ms Williams, who is on bail, plans to contest the remaining charges relating to extortion and kill threat allegations at a hearing in May.
Mr Naumenko will appear in a Magistrates’ Court in February.
