RAUNCHY photos of a female prison guard have been found in the cell of a senior Victorian bikie.

A corruption probe was launched after a search of the possessions of leading Mongols member Shane Bowden uncovered the pictures.

Bowden is doing time at maximum security Port Phillip Prison, the state’s biggest jail.

Authorities would be concerned the photos could compromise the officer.

The guard was suspended by prison operator G4S and has resigned. It is unclear if this is linked to her connection with Bowden, a criminal with a long and violent history who has spent 15 of the last 17 years incarcerated.

He is the man who shot Melbourne CBD killer Christopher Wayne Hudson during a wild 2006 brawl among bikie gangs at a Queensland kickboxing tournament.

After serving time for that confrontation, he moved to Victoria. Police suspect that was to dodge tough-anti-bikie laws in that state.

Bowden became a leading light with the Mongols motorcycle club but again found serious trouble.

In 2015, wearing night-vision goggles and brandishing a knife, he broke into a South Yarra house with girlfriend Aysen Unlu, a former Hollywood trainer, and demanded money.

Bowden kicked one victim in the face and stomped on his head before being handed $700.

He was originally sentenced to three years’ jail but this was later increased to four by the Court of Appeal.

G4S director of justice operations Brett McMerrin said: “Information gathered by our security intelligence unit at Port Philip Prison led to an investigation into an allegation of inappropriate association with a prisoner by a female correctional officer.

“The officer was suspended pending further investigation by prison management and subsequently resigned on May 24. The matter is subject to an ongoing investigation.”

Mr McMerrin said the security intelligence unit acted on information every day to maintain safety and security at the jail.

“Our focus is to provide a safe and secure environment which supports prisoners to break the cycle of reoffending leading to a safer community, he said.

The Herald Sun revealed last month that Port Phillip was being dogged by conflict between outlaw motorcycle gangs and violence ordered by Middle Eastern organised crime groups.

One of those under scrutiny was an ex-Mongol suspected of involvement in bashings and the behind-bars drug trade.

Dozens of makeshift weapons were found in the jail’s most volatile units as prisoners prepared themselves for violence.
