A $1 MILLION dollar reward has this morning been offered by Victoria Police to help solve a 25-year-old murder mystery.
Nina Nicholson, 22, from Clunes, north of Ballarat, was found on the rear porch of her house in Suburban Street on 10 September 1991.
The alarm was raised after she failed to turn up for work at St John of God’s hospital in Ballarat at 9.30pm.
Earlier in the night Nina had dinner with her parents in Clunes and left around 8pm.
Her father and brother later found her body.
“Investigators believe she was involved in a violent struggle with the offender and received serious head injuries,” Acting Sergeant Melissa Seach said.
“Despite an exhaustive police investigation and information followed up, Nina’s murder remains unsolved.”
