A SHOOTER who ambushed a bikie convoy on the Bolte Bridge may have followed the group or been told of their movements.
Investigators believe Friday night’s brazen mobile drive-by attack on Bandidos members was targeted.

It is unclear whether it was directed at an individual or the group of up to six riders.
But authorities will be wary of the prospect of reprisals after such a public attack on the feared gang.
It is believed two vehicles were also part of their convoy as it headed south. One of those was later found in the CBD, at the corner of Flinders and William streets.
There has been no public indication the Bandidos — one of Australia’s strongest clubs — are feuding with a particular outfit.
But three of their members were wounded when blasted with shots at the gang’s Brunswick clubhouse in April.
A police source said interclub tension was likely to be behind the violence. “It looks like they’ve upset a pretty major player,” the source said.
The Sunday Herald Sun has been told the riders at the scene removed their colours after their comrade hit the asphalt on Friday night.
Detectives from the anti-bikie Echo Taskforce have been called in to investigate the shooting, in which two men were injured.
One, a 40-year-old from Sunbury, dropped his bike and slid into a barrier when he was struck about 8.30pm.
Another victim later presented himself to hospital.
The shooting follows raids on Thursday morning on homes in Melbourne’s north. Detectives from the Echo taskforce raided a number of homes, including one of a Coburg North man who was a Bandidos member.
The Sunday Herald Sun revealed last month that anti-association laws aimed at curbing the influence of bikies and other organised crime figures remained unused a year after their introduction.
Victoria Police today appealed for dash-cam footage from the bridge around the time the gunman opened fire.
VicPol requested anything taken in the period 30 minutes either side of the shooting.
