A man has died after allegedly being assaulted by a group of men in Moe last week. Three men - two from Moe and one from Orbost - have been charged over the incident.

A man has died in hospital after an assault in Moe last week.
A group of men allegedly confronted and assaulted the man who they believed was acting suspiciously outside a Mitchell Street home about 5.30am on January 5.
The 31-year-old Moe man was flown to hospital with serious injuries but died on Friday afternoon.
Three men have been charged by the Latrobe Valley Crime Investigation Unit in relation to the incident.

A 41-year-old Moe man and a 19-year-old Orbost man have been charged with intentionally causing serious injury and intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence.
A 43-year-old Moe man has been charged with recklessly causing serious injury.
The three men will appear before court at a later date.
