A MAN has escaped custody at Frankston Magistrates’ Court while waiting to be taken to prison, sparking a police appeal for public help in tracking him down.

A MAN has escaped custody at Frankston Magistrates’ Court while waiting to be taken to prison.
Police are appealing for public help to track down Caleb Pavlovic, 20, who had been behind bars in the court when he escaped about 4pm today.

The charges being heard when Pavlovic escaped include criminal damage, aggravated assault of a female and committing an indictable offence while on bail, police say.
He was last seen running along Beach St towards Frankston railway station.
Anyone who seen Pavlovic or has details on his whereabouts is advised not to approach him and urged to contact triple-0.
