AN UGLY road assault in Melbourne’s north west has left one man with facial injuries.
Police arrested a Broadmeadows man over the incident, which started with a two-car collision in Station St, Sunbury this afternoon.
Investigators believe the two vehicles then drove towards Oshannassy St, where one driver tried to cut the other off.

A man then got out of his car and allegedly assaulted the second driver, leaving him with injuries to the face.
A witness told 3AW the man then hit the other driver in the head.
“Some guy got out of his car, went over to the other car, punched it through the window, smashed the bloke in the mouth,” Jack said.
“He’s knocked a couple of teeth out.
“He was right out of control. He looked spaced out.”
A Broadmeadows man was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with inquiries.
Paramedics attended the scene and the male Sunbury victim has sought medical treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
