A MAN has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in Hampton Park.
Homicide Squad detectives charged the 45-year-old man following the discovery of the woman’s body in a Redwood Avenue property just before midday on Saturday.
The man was arrested at the scene and police believe the accused and victim knew each other.
He was charged with one count of murder and appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Sunday.
The woman has yet to be formally identified.
