Man arrested after police raid east of Melbourne

CANNABIS plants, a gun and ammunition have been seized in a raid east of Melbourne this morning.

CANNABIS plants, a gun and ammunition have been seized in a raid east of Melbourne this morning.

Officers from Dandenong frontline tactical unit and the drug taskforce executed a warrant in a property where cannabis was allegedly being grown using stolen electricity.

A Nar Nar Goon man, 58, was arrested nearby.

He has been charged with counts including cultivating a narcotic plant, possessing a drug of dependence, trafficking a drug of dependence, firearms and theft offences.

The man was remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
