A MAN accused of running down Melbourne mum Andrea Lehane is back behind bars after he allegedly breached his bail conditions again by riding a motorbike.

A MAN accused of running down Melbourne mum Andrea Lehane is back behind bars after he allegedly breached his bail conditions again by riding a motorbike.

Caleb Jakobsson, 20, faced Ringwood Magistrates Court this morning charged with using a motorbike, possessing and using ice and handling stolen goods.

He did not apply for bail.

The only time Mr Jakobsson spoke was when asked by Magistrate Jillian Crowe if he was withdrawing from drugs.

He quietly responded, “No”.

Ms Crowe noted he was “vulnerable” in custody because of his age after his lawyer David McKenna said he had faced threats in the past.

He was remanded to reappear via video link on March 21.

The brief hearing comes after he was on last night denied bail at an out-of-sessions court hearing at Lilydale Police Station.

Mr Jakobsson was 18 when he allegedly hit Ms Lehane, a mother of two, outside a Carrum Downs shopping centre in September 2015.
