Man, 55, allegedly rams cop car after brandishing machete

A MAN has allegedly brandished a machete, driven at police and rammed a police car in Kilsyth last night.

A MAN armed with a machete has allegedly driven at police and rammed their car in Melbourne’s east.

Police were called to Regina St in Kilsyth after complaints about a fight at 10pm.

The 55-year-old man is alleged to have confronted officers with a machete before driving at them and ramming a police car last night.

Police used capsicum spray on the man before he was arrested.

The man has been charged with 13 offences including conduct endangering life, two times assault police, possessing a controlled weapon and theft of motor vehicle.

He will face the Ringwood Magistrates Court today.

Police officers were not injured in the incident.
