FIVE WORKERS INJURED IN ‘JAILBREAK ATTEMPT’

A number of them were moved to the Parkville in the aftermath, which left five employees to be treated by paramedics.

The Herald Sun has been told the boy attacked the staff member from behind, using punches and kicks in what was described as a “dog shot”.

The staff member suffered facial injuries.

His attacker quietly headed to his room, reinforcing suspicions he wanted a move to Parkville where he could be with those transferred.

A Department of Justice and Community and Safety spokeswoman said multiple units were placed into lockdown following the attacks. She said two staff were treated for injuries.
