RESIDENTS had a lucky escape after a car was peppered with bullets in a suspected drive-by shooting in Melbourne’s northwest last night.
An unoccupied car parked outside a home at John Paul Drive in Hillside was shot at about 11pm yesterday.
It is understood the shooter took aim at the car from within a moving vehicle.

No one was injured in the attack but a nearby service station was held up by an armed robber hours later.
A man wearing a ski mask walked into a Melton Highway petrol station with a gun and made demands for money about 5am, police said.
The attendant handed over the money and the offender fled.
He is described as caucasian, about 173cm tall and aged in his early 20s and was wearing black tracksuit pants.
