HOMICIDE Squad detectives are “confident” the investigation into murdered Cowes mum is progressing, as locals come forward to help catch her killer.

Investigators are analysing hundreds of hours of CCTV footage from the area as they try to track the person who took the loved mum’s life.

Police are understood to have received a massive public response following widespread coverage of her death in the past week.

Detectives today spoke to local cafes owners, clothing retailers and petrol store workers to gather evidence from the day she was killed.

Her ex-husband, Adrian Basham, is a person of interest in her murder. He will face court tomorrow.

Investigators are trying to account for his movements the day of her ex-wife’s death.

Her body was found in the garage of her Seagrove Way home on July 23, with police initially suspecting it was suicide.

Forensic evidence gathered at the scene forms part of the police investigation.

Ms Fraser’s death has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit seaside community, many whom are concerned the culprit is walking free.

One said: “It has left the young mums of the island grieving, isolated and fearful.”

Tributes left at her makeshift memorial vow to keep her three beloved children “safe” and cared for.

Her psychology patients have also expressed their anguish.

One handwritten letter said they felt “safe” with Ms Fraser, writing: “You saved me. I wish I could have saved you.”

“You made everything small thing I did a huge achievement.

“You have me the tools to fight my demons and succeed in life.

“I felt safe with you. I shared everything with you.

“I am going to live my life in the hope to make you proud.”

It is understood Ms Fraser was due to meet a client for a midday appointment the day of her murder but she never made it.

Investigators believe her killer struck between 11am and 3:30pm after Ms Fraser dropped her kids at school and had coffee with friends.

Her parents, who lived with her for protection, had left the country about a week earlier.

Mr Basham’s behaviour spiralled following breakdown of his marriage last year.

Former friends distanced themselves from him, saying he became a ‘control freak’ and monitored Ms Fraser through her phone.

She sought help from domestic violence workers, who wanted her to move to a refuge, according to friends.

The murder investigation continues.
