A smiling William Cabantog is “ready” to face a Bali court on a drugs charge that could see him locked up for up to 12 years, according to his lawyer.
The Melbourne nightclub figure was snapped with a wide grin on Friday as he was led back to his cell, following another police examination.
His lawyer, Ida Bagus Gumilang Galih Sakti, told the Herald Sun that Mr Cabantog was “healthy”.
“He is calmer now, smiles a lot,” he said.
“He is ready to go on trial and trusts us all.”
Mr Cabantog was arrested alongside another Melbourne figure, David Van Iersel, on July 19.
Police alleged the men returned urine tests positive for narcotics, and that they found cocaine in Mr Cabantog’s pants pocket.
The Herald Sun understands that Mr Cabantog, 36, signed the police case file during Friday’s examination, and that it has now been sent to prosecutors.
Denpasar police investigations unit chief Mikael Hutabarat confirmed that investigators were now “waiting for the prosecutor’s instructions”.
“The file is complete and we have sent it to the prosecutor,” he said.

Asked whether Mr Cabantog and Mr Van Iersel would be tried together, Mr Hutabarat said their “files are put together”.
“If one file, usually they will be tried together but we will see the prosecutor’s instructions later,” he said.
Mr Cabantog and Mr Van Iersel were seen barefoot and wearing orange jumpsuits on Saturday, as part of Indonesia’s Independence Day celebrations.
