RUDD REJECTS PINK BATTS RISK CLAIMS

They allege they lost an estimated $150 million as a result of the sudden shutdown of the program by the federal government in 2010.

Mr Rudd’s government established the program in 2009 as part of its economic stimulus package in response to the global financial crisis.

But it was suspended prematurely after the death of four workers in Queensland and NSW.

Numerous new insulation businesses were established to answer the Government’s call to help meet that demand.

It is understood Mr Rudd will give his evidence from New York.
