Attempted murder suspect Ali El Nasher has surrendered to police after months as the subject of a massive manhunt. El Nasher fronted court where it was revealed he was on bail at the time of the alleged shooting outside a Kensington boxing tournament.

A man wanted by police for four months over a shoot-out at a Melbourne boxing event has faced court charged with attempted murder.
Ali El Nasher, 29, had been on the run since March when police launched a massive manhunt for him after a man was shot dead outside the Melbourne Pavilion event in Kensington.
Mr El Nasher, from Brunswick, handed himself into police this morning.
Sporting a shaved head with a dark bushy beard, he sat quietly in the dock throughout a brief administrative hearing at Melbourne Magistrates Court this afternoon.
He has been charged with attempted murder, assault, affray and committing an indictable offence on bail.
Charge sheets, released from the court, also reveal he is charged with intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury “in circumstances of gross violence”.
Police also allege he stomped on an incapacitated victim’s head during the onslaught.
Magistrate Jelena Popovic told Mr El Nasher it was a “serious matter you have been charged with”.
The court heard he was also on bail at the time of the alleged shooting on March 1.
Young Craigieburn father Ben Togiai, 30, died and two other men were wounded when shots were fired outside the boxing tournament.

Days later, police swooped on his brother Abdullah El Nasher, 27, and Mikhael Myko, 25, in a dramatic arrest in New South Wales.
The pair were extradited to Victoria where they faced court and were remanded until September 12.
Ali El Nasher was today told his case will be joined to his co-accused on that date.
