A prison guard is being investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting a female prisoner at a maximum security women’s prison.
Corrections Victoria is reviewing the allegation made about a prison officer at Melbourne’s Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.
The alleged incident took place last week.

A Corrections spokesman said the officer was “subject to an internal investigation, following an alleged incident an internal investigation”.
“Corrections Victoria takes all allegations of workplace misconduct extremely seriously and any staff conduct that falls short of expected standards faces appropriate disciplinary action,” he said.
