FINKS outlaw motorcycle gang leader Koshan Rashidi has been slapped with a demand for almost $600,000 in tax debts.

Rashidi, aka Kosh Radford, is one of the country’s most feared bikies and made headlines last year when he was refused entry to Bali after arriving at the holiday island with his wife, child and mother-in-law.

Now the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation has issued a writ in the County Court seeking a ruling to force the Finks national president to pay up.

According to the writ, Rashidi has tax debts dating back to 2003.

The unpaid bill of more than $586,961 includes $245,006 in unpaid taxes, $187,353 in penalties and more than $154,591 in interest.

The claimed debt relates to amended assessments for 11 tax years issued to Rashidi in May this year.

According to the Australian Taxation Office the former Perth resident now lives in a double storey McMansion with a large backyard pool in a quiet suburban street in Endeavour Hills, 31km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD.

With the exile of Rebels president Alex Vella in Malta following the cancellation of his Australian residency visa in 2014, Rashidi has been a key target of Australian law enforcement agencies amid concerns he could become the nation’s next bikie war lord through an aggressive expansion strategy.

When Rashidi arrived in Bali last year he was put on the first available flight back to Sydney, with Bali’s immigration chief later confirming he was barred because of his bikie gang links.

Australian officials tipped off their Indonesian counterparts about Rashidi’s impending arrival and Balinese authorities were also provided with a photograph of Rashidi to help identify him.

The move was seen as an attempt to disrupt the expansion in recent years in Bali of Australian bikie gangs, including the Finks, Rebels and Bandidos.

There are reportedly now more than 2000 patched members of the Finks, which formed in Sydney in 1969.

Rashidi, who took control of the Finks following its 2013 merger with the Mongols, moved to Victoria earlier this year as the outlaw club looked to re-establish a foothold here.

Days after being sent packing from Bali last November Rashidi appeared in the Parramatta Local Court where he agreed to post a second $10,000 surety so he could move to Endeavour Hills.

His lawyer, Asem Taleb, told the court Rashidi had been forced to go back to look for work in the construction industry in Victoria, having previously held jobs here in the past.
