A FIGHT has brought peak-hour traffic to a halt on Chapel St.
Video of the incident shows the scuffle spilling onto the middle of the busy road, forcing drivers to wait at the corner of Chapel St and Cecil Place in Prahran about 6pm.
The footage shows two men shaping up to each other on the footpath before moving onto the road, blocking traffic.
A third man, clutching a skateboard, wanders into the fray and swings his skateboard, narrowly missing one of the brawlers.
The video shows a group of bemused people watching the confrontation.
The pair trade wild swings without really connecting, before one of them appears to goad the other with hand gestures.
The fracas ended when police arrived at the scene, holding one of the men to the ground.
A Victoria Police spokesman said it was believed the dispute was sparked after a man riding his bike had an altercation with another man.
The spokesman said one man was arrested but the victim did not want any further police action.
