FAMILY members of a cyclist killed in last weekend’s South Yarra hit-run crash have made an emotional visit to the road where she was flung from her bike.
Relatives and friends of the 27-year-old Dutch woman wiped away tears as they lay flowers at a growing memorial site on Chapel St on Wednesday.
Tributes continued from members of the public who had helped during Sunday’s horror crash and from strangers who said they wanted the woman’s family to know the community was behind them.

A cycling hat, cards, ribbons, and flags were left in the woman’s honour along with messages of condolence written in Dutch.
Locals stopped to kiss the tree next to the site of the crash, saying they had been touched by the tragedy on the busy shopping strip.
One longtime resident wrote a card to the woman’s parents to let them know they were in her thoughts.
“I will think of your daughter when I walk my dog,” she wrote.
Michael Panayides, 26, has been charged with culpable driving causing death and other offences over the crash.
