A brazen conman has been jailed for using fake documents to work as a schoolteacher for a decade across Victoria.
Julian Richard Taylor, 52, was found guilty of four charges of using false documents, seven counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception and one charge each of perjury and making, using or supplying identity information.
County Court Judge David Brookes on Tuesday said the offending was lengthy, brazen, sophisticated and was done to mask prior criminal history.

“You showed a complete absence of remorse,” Judge Brookes said to Taylor.
“Your offending cannot stand.”
Between 2005 and 2015 the wannabe teacher worked at schools including Ilim College at Dallas, Hamilton and Alexandra College at Hamilton, St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School at Warragul and Traralgon College.
Taylor had previously been convicted of other dishonesty offences and was sentenced to eight years in prison for a range of offences including falsifying tax returns.
Judge Brookes jailed Taylor on Tuesday for two years and 11 months, with a non-parole period of two years and two months.
He has already served 752 days of pre-sentence detention.
