An elderly man is recovering in hospital after a stoush at the bowser of a Wyndham Vale 7-Eleven petrol station yesterday.
The 71-year-old man was raced to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the fight at the Ballan Road store around 11.45am.
A Royal Melbourne hospital spokesperson said he is currently in a stable condition.
Detective Senior Constable Scott Davies said the elderly man struck his head during the fight.
“It was first a verbal argument that’s turned physical, one male has been assaulted, fallen to the ground and subsequently struck his head on the ground,” he said.
