A bush doof drug dealer has been sentenced to five months’ jail after he was caught red-handed trafficking MDMA and ketamine at a popular summer music festival.
Loughlan Deburg fronted Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to dealing the illicit drugs at the Rainbow Serpent Festival on January 25.

Deburg was busted by officers peddling ketamine, ecstasy and cannabis and possessing an unknown drug of dependence.
Four charges of possession, dealing with proceeds of crime and two further trafficking charges were struck out.
The 20-year-old, of Malvern East, has been behind bars since he was arrested by police at the Lexton rave almost two months ago.
In an earlier court appearance, the court heard Deburg was caught after a foot chase by two plainclothes police officers, who saw him conducting a deal.
His attempted getaway ended with multiple ziplock bags with pills and powder spilling from his backpack.

With time already served, he will be free in three months.
The court heard Deburg required medication for mental health issues.
In sentencing, Magistrate Frank Jones said but for Deburg’s guilty plea he would have imposed a seven-month jail term.
Deburg was among several traffickers aged in their teens and early 20s who were arrested at the infamous music event.
In total, police charged 10 people with drug dealing over the Australia Day weekend festival.
And 17 people were hospitalised over the course of the music festival, including seven for suspected drug overdoses, four of whom were deemed critical.
