Chaotic scenes unfolded in the driveway of a Reservoir home, where an erratic driver was set upon and stabbed after crashing into a man in the early hours of this morning.

A motorist who hit a man in the driveway of a Reservoir home has been bashed and stabbed after attempting to run away from the scene.
Police were called to Suffolk St about 3.25am after reports a man in his 20s had been attacked.
Leading Senior Constable Kendra Jackson said police believe a car was driving erratically in Suffolk St, before turning into a driveway where it struck a man in his 20s.
“The driver and two occupants of the car ran from the scene. It is alleged the driver was chased down by the victim and five other people, who were in the house at the time of the crash, and assaulted,” she said.

Both men, one with a stab wound and the other with head injuries, were taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital and are under police guard.
They were both in a stable condition this morning.
Acting Sergeant Michael Howard said police believe the incident was isolated and was related to an ongoing dispute between the parties.
There is no cause for concern for members of the public, he said.
A woman, also aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are seeking independent witnesses to try and establish what occurred.
