Eurydice Dixon - Killer pleads guilty

Evil killer Jaymes Todd has formally pleaded guilty to murdering young comedian Eurydice Dixon.

Todd, 19, appeared at the Supreme Court for the first time this morning where he entered four guilty pleas in relation to Ms Dixon’s rape and murder.

Todd stalked Ms Dixon, an aspiring young comedian, for more than an hour before killing her in the early hours of June 13.

But little is known about the exact circumstances of the brutal murder because it has been deemed to vile for publication by the courts.

A 41-page summary of Todd’s offending was last week released to media in an almost entirely redacted form.

Todd pleaded guilty to single counts of murder, rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.

He appeared nervous as he entered court and quickly entered his guilty pleas in a hearing that lasted less than five minutes.

His lawyer said medical and psychological reports needed to be organised before a pre-sentence hearing next year.

Court documents reveal Todd first spotted Ms Dixon outside Flinders St station just after 11pm the night he killed her.

He had been drinking heavily since 3.30pm that afternoon, while Ms Dixon had been performing a stand-up comedy routine at the Highlander Bar.

She had left her partner at Federation Square after the gig, telling him she felt like walking home.

It was from there Todd followed her.

Ms Dixon walked 4.5km to Princes Park in Carlton, and made it across two soccer pitches before Todd attacked her as she stepped onto the third pitch.

He later made a full confession.
