Dangerous driver arrested after Eastern Freeway chase
A RECKLESS driver was arrested last night after leading police on a wild car chase along the Eastern Freeway, hitting a number of cars and veering across lanes.

A RECKLESS driver was arrested last night after leading police on a wild car chase along the Eastern Freeway, hitting a number of cars and veering across lanes.
Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said police arrested a 31-year-old Hampton East woman following the pursuit.
A quantity of drugs was also seized from the vehicle.
“Police were called to reports of an erratic driver travelling towards the city on the Eastern Freeway about 10pm,” she said.
“It is alleged a white Holden Viva sedan was seen swerving across lanes and sideswiped a number of vehicles.”

Nunawading Highway Patrol members chased the driver all the way to South Yarra where officers finally arrested the dangerous driver on Alexandra Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this stage.
Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have had their vehicle damaged.
