A young woman has been taken to hospital after being “mauled” by a dog in Melbourne’s south-west last night.
The dog bit the woman as she walked past a property on Sycamore St, Hoppers Crossing.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed that the woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to Werribee Mercy hospital with a hand injury.
A witness told the Herald Sun a “large rottweiler dog broke through the fence” and attacked the woman.
