Casanova conman’s ex-wife Brooklin reveals his penchant for guns, Airsoft sport

The heiress ex-wife of Paul Carter has revealed the Casanova conman’s penchant for guns and his obsession with a shooting sport outlawed in Australia. It comes amid claims Carter smashed through her home, “traumatising” their son at the end of the toxic marriage.

The Casanova conman was ordered by a court not to go near his third wife, daughter of Parklea developments multi-millionaire, after a violent alleged rampage through her home.

Brooklin Carter took out a restraining order against Paul Carter, 52, in the United States after he allegedly smashed through her home, stealing her jewellery, her son’s passport and later disconnecting an automatic watering system for her horses.

In a police statement, obtained by the Herald Sun, Ms Carter also told police he sent her a text message threatening to kill himself and that he was going to “ensure you go down with me”.

She also told police he was an avid recreational shooter and could “easily get a gun”.

It’s the latest revelation to surface after the Herald Sun last week exposed him as a fake multi-millionaire Lothario who had duped millions of dollars from loved ones and businesses across two continents.

Even his mother has turned her back on him, describing him as the “biggest crook in the world” after his actions lost her and her partner their homes in Greenvale and Fawkner.

Two ex-wives, a fiancee, a Melbourne church charity and a long list of businesses in Australia and the US have spoken out against the conman.

Ms Carter recently finalised her divorce from him, claiming she has lost $2 million to Carter during their marriage.

She says Carter is “heavily into” Airsoft, a shooting sport which is illegal in Australia.

Photos show him dressed in camouflage and grinning as he holds a large black firearm.

Last August, she successfully obtained a one-year protection order against Carter in the Albany County Family Court.

The order was made after she reported to police he raided her home, smashing and stealing items, after he had been kicked out and that he later returned to disconnect a watering system for her horses.

The report also states he came to the family home without permission last July and took his Airsoft gear, which “traumatised” their son who was home alone at the time.

Ms Carter runs and lives at a working horse stable, named Thunder Down Under, in Albany.

She told police in the statement boarders had become fearful of Carter.

“One of the boarders … is now terrified the respondent (Carter) will harm her or her horse, and is looking to move to another facility,” she wrote in her police statement.

“The boarder became aware of this by another potential boarder, who also now won’t board her horse at my farm because she is scared of what the respondent may do to her and/or her horse.

She added: “The horse boarding is my only source of income and the respondent is now jeopardising that as well as making me fearful of what he may do to harm me or my animals on my property if he is not legally forced to stay away from me or my two properties.”

Ms Carter’s protection order expired on August 29.
She told the Herald Sun she may need to take out another against him.

Victoria Police last week revealed they would arrest Carter at the airport for questioning over untested rape allegations made by former fiancee, Katherine De Bois (not her real surname) should he ever return.

Carter hastily proposed to her in 2014, taking over legal power of her Clifton Hill salon which was due to be bought by the state government for the East West Link.

The sham engagement happened when the conman was still married to Ms Carter, living in the US with their son.
