Car belted with baseball bats and occupants stabbed in Truganina carjacking

A car full of people was belted with baseball bats and its occupants stabbed in a violent carjacking in Melbourne’s west overnight.

A car full of people was belted with baseball bats and its occupants stabbed during a harrowing carjacking in Melbourne’s west overnight.

About 2am Thursday, a group of six men were sitting in a white Holden Captiva in Garran Court, Truganina.

Another darkly-coloured car drove to the same street and the men inside got out and began attacking the Captiva with baseball bats.

The occupants tried to flee from the car, with three receiving minor stab wounds as one of the attackers got into the vehicle and drove away.

The other assailants fled in the scene in the darker car.

All three victims were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for information to find the attackers and the Captiva which was last seen near Federation Boulevard with registration ULV 088.
