LATEST: POLICE have identified a man whose body was found dumped in a bin in Preston on Saturday.

POLICE have identified a man whose body was found dumped in a bin in Preston on Saturday.

Investigators have identified the man as a 44-year-old from Broadmeadows.

They continue to treat his death as suspicious and the investigation remains ongoing.

Yesterday police released an image of a Korean boy band T-shirt hoping it could help identify the man

A council worker came across the grim find when emptying the bins at the intersection of Young and Butler streets, about 8am.

At the time of the man’s death, he was wearing grey/blue Everlast-branded tracksuit pants and black Nike runners.

He was also wearing the distinctive white T-shirt emblazoned with Korean band Big Bang’s 2015 world tour image.
