Police are on the hunt for a driver allegedly tailgating vehicles, hitting one vehicle’s window, on the Kuranda Range.

Kuranda Police Station officers said a white 2017 Suzuki Grand Vitara was travelling up the range, allegedly tailgating other vehicles, at 10.30am on Tuesday, June 3.

The white Suzuki then stopped at the first set of roadworks, the QPS said.

The driver is accused of exiting the vehicle and approaching a 2012 Gold Mazda BT50 Utility directly behind it, “before becoming involved in an altercation with the (Mazda) driver, and hitting the window”.

The QPS said the Suzuki driver had exhibited such behaviour for “some time, causing vehicles traveling down the range to take evasive action”.

They asked that anyone who travelled the Kuranda Range between 10am and 10.45am on June 3 with dash cam footage to contact Policelink on 13 14 44 and quote QI2500959055.
