A Top End radio icon cleaned up at the 2022 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

Mix 104.9FM host Katie Woolf was nominated for, and won, three of the night’s categories.

She was crowned Best Talk Presenter Provincial, Best Current Affair Presenter Non Metro, and also won the Brian White Award for Radio Journalism.

Ms Woolf was the only Territorian nominated in 2022.

She was also one of the only women nominated in some of the categories, so the awards were “a win in that sense as well”, she said.

Ms Woolf said she was overwhelmed and humbled to be recognised.

“I’m really proud of the show my producer Krystal and I put to air each day and am grateful to our loyal listeners,” she said.

“Without them, the show would not be the success that it is.”

Moving forward, Ms Woolf said she hoped to keep making radio that “people listen to and means something to the community”.

Northern Territory Broadcasters general manager Mike Harvey said Ms Woolf was “a unique talent”.

“She is passionate, hard working and absolutely committed to high quality radio journalism,” he said.

The awards were held in Sydney on October 29.

It is believed to be the first time an individual has won three ACRAs in one event.
