A teenager who had been lost in the wilderness for two days has been found by search and rescue teams.
The male reported to be in his late teens went missing while hiking one of the state’s highest mountains, Mount Barney, in Queensland’s Scenic Rim on Thursday and had not been heard from since.
SES volunteers and rescue helicopters were deployed as part of the search efforts.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the teen had been found on Saturday morning by search operations and was airlifted to paramedics standing by.
He was reported to be in a stable condition with no injuries.
