Gold Coast teen Kayden Price says his life has forever changed after landing a main role on an upcoming blockbuster TV series.
The 16-year-old Southport High School student scored a gig as Blaster in the Stan series Nautilus – airing globally this week.
Auditioning along with 3000 other hopefuls for the role, the Hope Island teenager spent a year on set making movie magic all while managing A-grade scores in his high school studies.
“School on set wasn’t an easy thing,” Kayden said.
“It was a full year of studying on set, in breaks, after set and weekends – but the school was super supportive and worked really well with me along with my amazing tutor to get it done.”
Now the teen is ready to capitalise on his time on the long-awaited TV show.
“Filming was amazing – the best experience of my life,” he said.
“I learnt so much and met amazing people. It was just life-changing – now I’m hammering out auditions trying to capitalise on Nautilus.”
His advice for any aspiring actors – rejection is all part of the game.
“Rejection is something you have to get used to as an actor,” he said.
“The mindset we all adopt is do your tape and do it as best you can, send it off and don’t worry about it again. It’s up to the universe, the directors – you’ve done all you can.
“It’s your art, your craft – just roll with the punches.”
