Gold Coast police were called after the car was destroyed at the intersection of Tuvalu and Loyalty streets in Pacific Pines around 10pm on Tuesday.

The BMW was reported as stolen from a Mermaid Waters address on Sunday between 9am and 11.20am.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the fire or who has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the car between Sunday and Tuesday to call 131 444.
