Police investigate serious Bilinga traffic crash on Pacific Highway

The Forensic Crash unit are investigating a serious traffic accident on the Pacific Highway on Friday night involving three vehicles. Read what happened here.

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Bilinga on Friday night involving a black Mitsubishi Lancer and a silver Holden Commodore.

The Mitsubishi and Holden Commodore were travelling southbound along the Pacific Highway when the Mitsubishi struck the back end of a black Hyundai i20 around 11.40pm.

The Hyundai and Mitsubishi both lost control and hit the side rail before coming to a stop and blocking both southbound lanes.

The Holden Commodore was not damaged and the driver, a 20-year-old Merrimac woman, was not physically injured.

The passenger in the Hyundai, a 25-year-old Currumbin Waters woman, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver, a 25-year-old Currumbin Waters man, was not physically injured.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, an 18-year-old man from NSW, was also taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash, to come forward.
