The Bureau of Meteorology issued a strong wind warning for Monday and Tuesday across Gold Coast waters and expected to see it drop off on Wednesday.

“Don’t take your boats out,” Mr Regano said.

Swell was expected to reach three metres on Monday with 20-30 knots on the water and the same on the Anzac Day public holiday on Tuesday.

“The water will be rough as guts,” he said.

Mr Regano said temperatures had dropped due to the windy weather.

The minimum temperature for the Gold Coast was consistently 20 degrees until Saturday when it was forecast to drop to 16 degrees and 15 degrees on Sunday.
