A pair of Gold Coasters from the cast of Australia’s first foray into the international reality Shores franchise have promised “outrageously wild action”.
Aussie Shore takes place in Cairns, where ten singles were thrown together to live, work and party for six weeks.
It follows on from Britain’s Geordie Shore and America’s Jersey Shore.
Housemate and Gold Coaster Callum, who previously appeared on Love Island Australia and I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, said the show was like “a holiday”.
“It’s definitely a unique show in the sense that there’s no external pressure or stress because it’s not competition based.
“Obviously there’s still drama when you put a group of people together and involve a bit of alcohol, you know there’s going to be drama, but it’s no like malice because there was no competition.
“We literally just woke up every day, we didn’t have that fear of getting eliminated or leaving early so we try that as much fun as possible from start to finish.
“It’s like a holiday, and you don’t spend any money, you get given drinks, you get given food, you don’t even have to cook anything, you don’t even clean.
“The only negative thing is that some of us would have to go to work the next day with a stinking hangover,” he said.
Fellow Gold Coast cast member Cooper said the show was an “eye-opener”.
“The show is wild, waking up every day with a hangover and having to go to work, the whole show is a bit menacing, but you’re not going to be disappointed is what I can say.
“[The show] is basically like all the other ‘Shores’ on steroids … not knowing what’s planned for the day, it was just you wake up do whatever you want to do, get drunk,” he said.
Aussie Shore is hosted by Geordie Shore royalty Charlotte Crosby, who in a recent chat about the program said “this cast make her time on Geordie Shore look like Downton Abbey”.
Aussie Shore premieres Thursday October 3 on Paramount +.
